Danielle Cross, Dani to her friends, is a Level III Sommelier and a former Senior Wine Instructor with one of the top five wine schools in the United States. She discovered her love of wine at the age of nine when she helped a neighbor in suburban Toronto make wine in his garage. While attending Trinity College at the University of Toronto and a member of the Wine Tasting Club a sojourn to the Niagara Region led to her tasting the legendary Inniskillin Ice Wine in its first vintage. After decades in the Corporate world, she melded her astute business acumen and love of wine and founded Vin Boutique.
Her love of Burgundy has led to many trips there interacting with the local vinters and seeing firsthand how the wine is produced. "In Burgundy the wine is incredible; the food makes you yearn to learn to cook again, and even the Castles are real. The land and its history, the people who work there, farmers and artists combine in a passion for sensuality, message, and a soft soulfulness of patience and sensuality in a bottle."
